Weekly Wonders: Birthday Week

1. Monday started with a brunch out in town. We ordered the breakfast for two which included a basket full of bread, a plate with scrambled eggs, two different types of jam, butter, 3 different kinds of cheese and ham, different kinds of fruit, two cups of fruit oatmeal, and two glasses of orange juice. I also ordered an extra ginger tea since I was a bit sick. The breakfast was extremely yummy and filling. We couldn’t eat anything for the rest of the day.

2. The rest of the day was dedicated to shopping. I found a pair of sunglasses which were reduced from 120€ to 99€ and I spontaneously bought them as you can see on the picture. I did need a new pair though.
3. We were walking around a beautiful park, looking for a nice spot to take photos at and they had these colourful flowers planted.  We didn’t take too long, and went back home. We were completely shattered.

4. On Tuesday, July 4th, it was my birthday. We had planned to go to the thermal baths that day. My sister still had free tickets, so we used them. It was a day full of relaxation, swimming, sunshine and yummy food and drinks. Despite being sick, I enjoyed it a lot. Still miss the steam bath and the amazing fruit sugar peeling we got there for free.

5. At the weekend, I finally got to celebrate my birthday with all my friends. My sister did my make-up and I got to wear my new dress from Mango.

6. It was such an amazing evening, despite some reservation problems. I booked a table for 11 at the most popular sushi restaurant in town called Origami at 9pm (8pm was not possible), and when we arrived at 8.50pm, they told us that we’d have to wait for a while until the guests have finished eating. It was around 9.30pm until we were able to go inside for food finally. Until we had ordered and got our food, almost one hour passed. Some of us got starters as well. I got the gyoza, and it was friggin yummy!

7. Finally the food – and with it the sushi – came. I also ordered a huge sushi platter for everyone to try. I didn’t only eat sushi, but also a coconut udon soup with shrimps. I didn’t like that so much though, and my sister’s beef pak choi dish looked so much yummier. It was a great evening though, and by the time we left the restaurant, they were about to close :’D We were the last ones inside (11:45pm), but then again, it wasn’t our fault, since we did arrive on time.

8. Group picture with everyone :)

9. Me with the cute HappySocks I got from two of my friends :)

10. On sunday, I first had to unpack all my gifts and take photos of some of them. I loooveeeed all of my gifts I got and want to say thank you to everyone who came and got me presents. I am fortunate to have friends who know me so well :) The ‘One-Line-A-Day’ 5-year-journal is actually one of the things I have thought about buying, but never did.

11. And the Instagram-famous book is a book I just recently discovered at Urban Outfitters and had to think about my friend Giulia thinking about me if she ever got to see the book :’DD And then she actually got it for me :D

12. I just specifically fell in love with the Harry Potter pillow set <3 The trio and Hagrid look soooo cute! Hagrid is actually my favourite out of the four in this pillow collection :D Other than these gifts above, I got a Sailor Moon mug and a unicorn pocketmirror, an Amazon voucher and some bathing stuff, and I am gonna get a see-through umbrella :)

I hope you guys had an awesome first week of July. Mine was great as you can see. I was sick on my birthday, probably for the first time ever, but it was still a great birthday week with all the friends, food and swimming <3

Thanks for reading! See you next week!

February Wrap Up

Another month has just ended. Can’t believe it! Seems like a few days ago when I wrote about my January Wrap up.

February wasn’t that bad actually. Obviously it was the month of the Grammys and the Oscars, as you can see on my previous posts, but it was also a good month for reading and eating out.

Here is what I did:

1. Shopping

I bought quite a lot of Harry Potter stuff. Not only books, …

IMG_20150219_125624 IMG_20150219_165907

but also clothes like these socks:

Then, I ordered a concert ticket for Purity Ring. They will be performing in Berlin on the 13th of April. It will be the second time in Berlin for me, but when I had been there the first time about 7 years ago, it was a class trip and we weren’t allowed to do a lot of things there, like partying. I have seen most of the cultural and historical things, but I want to explore more cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs the next time. I will also be meeting some friends hopefully. Can’t wait.

And at the end of the month now, on the 28th I even got to buy new trouser leggings (Not jeggings actually). They look amazing, and I will wear them soon. If I do, I will post a picture on my instagram account. I also bought new jewellery, in form of rings and lightning bolt earrings a la Harry Potter ;)

Going Out:

I ate out a lot last month. One of the reasons was my sister’s birthday on the 16th. It was a monday, but we went to Vapiano with my mum and my brother as well. At the weekend then, my sister celebrated with friends. Then, we went to a healthy Burger restaurant.

IMG_20150216_172445 IMG_20150221_213411

The beginning of February also marked the end of exams. I don’t know if I told you that I learned japanese this passed semester, but I completed the first language course, and it was amazing! I had a strange feeling after the exam, but everything went well. Too well in the end. I got a 1.3 at the exam and for the course itself, I got 1,0 (Which is the best grade you can get in Germany).

So, on the day of the exam, me and two other friends from the japanese course went to a running sushi near our university town. It was delicious.

What I watched:

Since February was the month of the Oscars, I also watched a few movies.

Birdman: Here is the review

Maleficient: I still have to review it! But it was wonderful!!! I can’t wait for all the other Disney movie adaptions to be released this and next year.

Annabelle: This movie was so bad, that I am not going to review it. It is not worth it. I don’t like watching horror movies anyway, because I think that it is not fun to be scared, and anyway, the movie wasn’t scary at all, but only boring (although I had the creeps in the elevator scene oh gosh). I also was forced to watch it, because we made a movie night with some friends, and they all wanted to see it.

Guardians of the Galaxy: A huge disappointment. That movie was not good, but I will probably review it soon.

Naruto Shippuuden: This is an anime series I have neglected the past few years. I began watching this series when I was still at school, but when I began studying at university, I forgot about this anime. I watched a lot of episodes last month up until the most recent one. I will also write an only Naruto post soon.

What I read:

First of all, I re-read the first two books in the Harry Potter series for my Bachelor thesis I will be writing soon.

Processed with VSCOcam with a5 preset

Then I read some secondary books for that thesis as well.

“The Wisdom of Harry Potter: What Our Favorite Hero Teaches Us About Moral Choices” by Edmund M. Kern

“Fact, Fiction and Folklore in Harry Potter’s World: An Unofficial Guid” by George Beahm

“Mapping the World of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice: An Unauthorized Exploration of the Harry Potter Series” by Mercedes Lackey

And I have 9 Naruto Comics. I know, that sounds a lot, but honestly, You can read one comic in less than an hour. So I only spent about one day reading them.

Naruto Vol. 64: Ten-Tails

Naruto Vol. 65: Hashirama and Madara

Naruto Vol. 66: The New Three

Naruto Vol. 67: Breakthrough

Naruto Vol 68: A Shinobi’s Dream

Naruto Vol. 69: The Beginning of the Crimson Spring

Naruto Vol. 70: Naruto and the Sage of Six Paths

Naruto Vol. 71: I Love You Guys

Naruto Vol. 72: Uzumaki Naruto!!

The mangaka of course is Masashi Kishimoto. Although the course of the war in the last chapters and series of the manga were a bit long, the end turned out to be perfect. It is as I had imagined it to be. I will be doing an only Naruto blog post soon, there I can ramble about the series and tell you what I liked and disliked.

I guess this was my February Wrap-Up. I know that I have been quite absent last month, but as you can see I was very busy :D I will be even busier in March, so please don’t blame me if I don’t have enough time for blogging. I really have to be fast and start the serious reading for my bachelor thesis. Or else, I will be in trouble.

How was your month?

Thanks for reading!

Letters to 2015: January

I have seen this project at imjustthisawesome and I think this is a great idea. I think I will participate in this.

I don’t know if I can do it every month, especially February and March since I have to write my Bachelor Thesis. But I will just see. Here is the first letter:

Dear January,

You are already over half-way through, and it has been calm with you, maybe even a little bit too boring :’D When it comes to reading, it was interesting – until now. I am currently reading quite a boring book for uni, that’s why. In general, January started a bit calm, but now it is getting more and more stressful. I have to hand in my Bachelor thesis title by the end of January. I always get too excited when I think about it. My heart starts racing, because I am not quite sure if it will work out. I have decided now that I want to write about Harry Potter. There are quite a lot subjects to write it about, and also many many books as I have found out. I have now narrowed my outline down to these topics:

1. Racism and Nazism: How Muggles, Squibs and Creatures are treated (Creatures as a display of human fear in the Harry Potter series; how they represent society)

Something like that. I still have to talk to my Prof about that. I will do that coming week. I  hope he will approve.

This is basically my main part of January I guess, including a lot of book-buying and eventually trying to go to the movies and watch many of the new films, especially Oscar nominated films I want to watch.

If I won’t make it to write the letters for February, I want to say that I want to procede well with my thesis, and also move a little bit maybe. Sitting all day might not be quite too healthy neither. This is why I want to continue giving lessons 3 times a week, so that I will get to the air a little bit.

And I should also repair my laptop before starting to write. There are some software problems I think. I have to work that out somehow.

Puuhhh, when I think about the following two months, it seems like a big pain in the ass. Sorry to say that. At least, I get to write about Harry Potter, so maybe, it will even be fun to do so.

I hope to have some nice time left with you January.

Wrting a Bachelor Thesis – HELP!

The time has finally come. I am in my final semester (in fact, I am already 1 semester too late). Now I have to think about a Bachelor Thesis to write about. My prof told me that I should know my topic until January. I definitely want to write about modern fantasy novels. At the beginning, I thought to compare Philip Pullman’s His Dark Marterials to John Milton’s Paradise Lost, but since I am not quite well versed in the theological topics, neither my prof, I tried to think about something else. Then my prof also gave me some advice maybe to compare His Dark Marterials with the 2 extra prequel books to the ‘His Dark Marterials’ series, ‘Lyra’s Oxford’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in the North’. However, after researching a bit, I found out that there is in general a lot about christianity and atheism involved in the whole series. So I wouldn’t know how to compare them. If I would be knowledgeable in the religious topics, I could easily compare ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ to the ‘His Dark Marterials’ series.

Well, now I have probably found the most perfect topic. I somehow want to involve English Folgklore and Mythology and compare that to the Harry Potter series, since it is obviously full of it. I though about analyzing the meaning of that use in fantasy books, and perhaps even include the extra fictional dictionary “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them” *o*

I am not quite sure yet if that is really a good idea writing your thesis about your most favorite series of all times. I had already considered writing about Harry Potter, but then I decided against it, because I thought it would destroy my love for the series, but I think nothing could ever do it. I rather think that I could learn new things about it by informing myself about English folklore and mythology. I will have to research it. If my thesis can really be about Harry Potter, then, who knows, I can maybe work somewhere that is involved with Harry Potter *o* That would be a dream!

What do you guys think about that? Is that a good idea, or do you think I should write about something different? What other topic can I write about?

Thanks for reading?

Harry Potter Exhibition Cologne 2014

Now finally it’s time for this post!

Last week, on Saturday the 4th of October 2014 my two friends Pina and Susi, and me of course, went to Cologne. Our train left at 7.26 am from Stuttgart train station. At about 11 am we should arrive in Cologne. Fortunately, our journey was without any problems. We talked a lot in the train, especially nerdy Harry Potter talk. While in the train, we passed many beautiful landscapes as we approached the Rhein area. I have never been to western Germany before, so I also have never been to Cologne. I have heard different things from many people who liked it and also from people who didn’t like it. My friend Susi has already been there and told us that the people were so direct and open.

We arrived at about 11 am in Cologne. The train station was directly next to the Dome of Cologne, so we started taking pictures and selfies.

After that, we went inside the dome and looked at the inside architecture of this gigantic building.

20141004_112746 IMG-20141005-WA0001

While we were inside, they called for prayer, but a few minutes after that, they told us visitors that we had to go out of the dome, because they were closing now.

So after that we walked through the shopping street a little bit. It was a bit small, but we found a Kiko shop and went inside. My friend Pina even bought some things.

After that, we went to look for a restaurant to eat. Plus, we also wanted to drink Kölsch, the beer typical for Cologne.

Soon we found a german restaurant. I ate sausage and potato salad (very typical german indeed). And we all drank two glasses of Kölsch (the glasses are really tiny, like test tubes)

The weather was beautiful. Sunny and warm. We sweated while sitting outside, because the midday sun was shining directly on our heads, so we took off our jackets and pullovers :D

When we finished eating, we went to look for a nice place to sit. Soon, we found a big lawn behind the dome with a view to the Rhein. It really was a beautiful place.

IMG_20141005_022537 IMG_20141005_023025 20141004_140132

We sat down on the lawn and talked a little bit while enjoying the sun. At about 2.30 pm we slowly walked to the train station to check out which train to take to the Odysseum where the Harry Potter exhibition should take place. We had to search in the internet a bit, but we found it finally. At about 3:15 we arrived at the Odysseum. We saw many people with Harry Potter bags walking around, and we already got super excited.

20141004_151839 20141004_151755

We soon entered the building. Our tour was at 4:15 pm. At 3:45 we already waited in front of the doors. We also took our Audio Guides. They really were a good investment.

When we finally were allowed to go inside, we queued at first for a photo shooting. We were allowed to wear scarves (Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff, Slytherin was somehow not included), and we could also choose a wand to pose with *o* Of course we had to give them back after the photo was taken. But omg, it was sooo awesome!

Yeaaahy Yeahy!!! I am a proud Hufflepuff! BTW: The background was a green screen. When we wanted to buy the photo, we could decide upon a background. There were about 9 different backgrounds to chose from. We took the Hogwarts Express, because the other backgrounds looked a bit unrealistic :D

After this first excitement we had to wait in front of another door. Soon, we were allowed inside and there it was: THE SORTING HAT! And the guy who stood there and put the hat on our heads was very handsome. Unfortunately, only 3 or 4 people were chosen by him to try on the hat. But at least our friend Susi has managed to be chosen :D

She was chosen into Slytherin, but it was her wish :D

After that, we were led into another room full with screens. I think 7 or 8 screens. On the screens they showed us different scenes from the movies cut together. I got goosebumps and tears in my eyes. It really was amazing to see all those scenes cut so perfectly together. Real Harry Potter fans will definitely enjoy even this simple thing.

After this was over, the door behind us opened, and we saw the real Hogwarts Express *o* :’) Unfortunately, everything went so fast, so I could only get a glimpse on the Express. But it was sooo beautiful <3

Now, the Exhibition began. I will show you the course of the Tour with the pictures I have taken .

Left Side: Neville’s and Luna’s clothes and stuff Right Side: Hermione’s clothes and stuff
Ron’s clothes, stuff, especially Chudley Cannons, and his bed at his Hogwarts dorm. Can you believe it that Rupert Grint himself slept inside that bed… *o*
Harry’s clothes and stuff, together with the Marauder’s Map
I must not tell lies
Gilderoy Lockhart’s clothes, his book Magical Me, and a Pixie
Me in front of the boggart :D And of course the cupboard with the boggart inside

Professor Trelawney’s clothes and things. Do you see the Grim?
Quidditch costumes from different players including: Madame Hooch, Malfoy, Harry, Ron, Cedric, Krum
Here it is! The Quidditch part where we could throw around with Quaffles to score :D
Here we go!
I love this photo :’D I scored! I could really be a good Chaser ;)
Buckbeak <3
We needed a group picture in front of buckbeak :)
Hagrid’s clothes and things including the Monster book of Monsters.
Me in Hagrid’s Hut :)
The creatures of the Forbidden Forest :) It was quite dark there, so excues the bad quality of the photos
You might know whose clothes these are ;)
The Philosopher’s Stone
Kreacher <3
The graveyard scene *o* I loooove Bellatrix’ clohtes. And can you see Nagini next to Voldemort’s costume on the right side of the picture?
The Horcruxes <3 This station was probably my favorite one
Newspaper articles
The costumes for Bill and Fleur’s wedding. From left to right: Ron, Hermione, Luna, Xenophilius
Neville’s clohtes and the sword of Gryffindor
Ron’s, Hermione’s and Harry’s clothes at “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”

Fleur’s and Krum’s costumes, and the Goblet of Fire
The Yule Ball costumes
The Triwizard Cup, The name sheets of the Champions, Anti-Potter Buttons, and the book about Dumbledore.
Sirius’ and Tonks’ clothes and wands
Dobby <3
The Deathly Hallows: The Elder Wand, The Stone of Resurrection, The Invisibility Cloak
Dumbledore’s and McGonnagall’s costumes
Fawkes <3
This is inside the Fanshop. There you can see the wands you could buy. I didn’t buy a wand, because I wouldn’t know what to do with it :’D
After we went outside of the shop, and shortly before going out of the Odysseum, we saw Umbridge :’D Of course not the real one, but a young and beautiful version of her. And of course, a nicer version :D

At about 6pm we were outside. We still had about 1-2 hours until our train left from Cologne to Stuttgart. So we went to a Starbucks in front of the Dome and drank something.

At 8pm our train left to Frankfurt. It was so fast, the train was driving with 300 km/h. We had a pressure in our ears during the whole 1-hour-ride. But we couldn’t withstand trying out the Bertie Botts every-flavour Beans :D It was funny. I had earthworm, and it tasted quite good :’D My friend Pina had vomit I think :’D And she nearly vomitted xD My friend Susi had soap I think. Still, we didn’t dare going on trying somehow :D

When we arrived in Frankfurt though, our train to Stuttgart was late, and we were recommended to take a different train. This one would arrive 20 minutes later, so we waited at the train station. The train that arrived was to Mannheim. From there, we should then take another train to Stuttgart. However, our train to Mannheim also arrived 20 minutes too late in the train station, so we thought that we had missed our Stuttgart train. We were almost having a nervous breakdown in the train. When we finally arrived in Mannheim, we went to look at the schedule, and we were relieved to see that our Stuttgart train was still late. It should arrive about 20 minutes later, but then 20 minutes turned into 30 minutes. We went to McDonald’s to eat something. Then we went outside to wait, together with many other annoyed travellers. Finally, our train arrived at about midnight, and at 1 am we finally arrived at Stuttgart train station. We should have actually arrived at 11 pm. We arrived 2 hours too late. Pina’s parents, and Susi’s and my sister were getting worried, and texted us incessantly. At 2 am, I finally was home. And the first thing I did was taking a haul-photo :’D

That’s what I bought: The sweets (Bertie Botts Beans, Jelly Slugs, Chocolate Frog): Each 5€ Harry Potter Marauder Mug: 20€ Elder Wand Pen: 20€ Pullover: 55€ The Pullover is the most expensive, but it is my most favorite item :)

It really was such a great, fun, magical, awesome, overwhelming day to be able to visit this Exhibition. Unfortunately, everything happened too fast, and it was soon over already :(

But I am still happy that I was able to go there and visit the Exhibition, as well as to see a new beautiful city :)

Thanks for reading!

Busy October

I am really sorry that I have been absent the last few days, but last week was a bit full. I had to work plus, I have to organize the freshmen party for the new semester which will take place next week. For that, we met two days last week. Friday was a holiday in Germany, so I spent thursday evening with the organizations for the freshmen party, and after that, I went clubbing with some friends and my sister. It was just a normal clubbing night, nothing special to report about. On friday I did nothing and slept too long into the late afternoon. I don’t know why I was so tired suddenly. We also went to McCafe with our friend Giulia who returned from her internship in Frankfurt. We talked a bit and then ate dinner at Mc. I was so excited the whole Friday, because the next day was supposed to be the long-awaited day: The Harry Potter Exhibition in Cologne <3
It was AWESOME guys! I took so many pictures which I can’t wait to share with you already *o* I just have to find the time to do that. They are already on Instagram, but I will also write a detailed post about that whole day :) You can look forward for something amazing ;)

Now, after too much energy drinks and coffee, I still feel tired and exhausted. I woke up early today (well, 8 am is early for me), in order to sign up for the Japanese language course. I am so excited, and can’t wait already *o* I am also a bit afraid, but I am sure that I will manage it well :)

Thanks for reading, guys!

The Harry Potter Tag

OMG I am so excited for this now! I saw this Tag on youtube at JoeyGraceffa’s channel. I am a big Harry Potter fan of course, and I actually wanted to do a post ONLY about Harry Potter since a while now. This is the best possibility now. Let’s start.

Favorite book: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! I love it, because a lot of things get revealed, and there are a lot of sudden turns to the plot that surprised and excited me as a reader so much that I never wanted to stop reading that book *o* And the Time Turner appears and Sirius and Lupin *o* This book is just awesome!

Source: Goodreads.com

Favorite movie: My favorite movie was definitely the second, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. It was such a good story to be made into movie, because it had all these creatures that would be perfect in a movie, like Giant Spiders and a Basilisk that would be a great feature for the special effects part :)

Source: Wikipedia.com

Least favorite book: Of course I love each and every book of the Harry Potter series, but if I had to create a ranking, the book that would be seventh place would be “Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince”. I know, many of you like this book a lot because this is where the story with the Horcruxes begin, but for me, it was a bit boring, because Harry spent a lot of time with those memories, and the last part in the cave was a bit boring. And I really missed that Harry’s adventure at the end is without his friends (compare: The order of the phoenix, chamber of secrets).

Source: Goodreads.com

Parts of the books/movies that made you cry: In the movies there are quite a lot. One of them was the part in which Harry returns back with Cedric’s corpse, when Cedric’s father then begins to cry, screaming loudly in pain. Then, I ALWAYS cry at the end of the Philospher’s Stone when Neville gets his first points for Gryffindor and Gryffindor wins the house cup :’) And at the end of the Chamber of Secrets when everyone applauds Hagrid :’) Since Hagrid is one of my favorite characters, I always end up crying with a smile on my face.

For the books, it is mostly the seventh book. The story about Snape and Lilly made me cry, Hedwig’s and Dobby’s death made me cry. Somehow, I tend to cry more when watching movies than reading books.
If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be? Fred Weasley! Because he is funny and crazy.

Favorite character: Fred Weasley! Again! :D I also like Ron, because I am so similar him :D

What would your Patronus be? Probably a dog, just like Ron’s. I like dogs, and I somehow have some characteristics that also belong to dogs, like loyalty and cheerfulness. And like said before, I am quite similar to Ron.
If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose? The Invisibility Cloak of Course.

What House would you be in? Even Before Doing the Pottermore Test, I knew I would be in Hufflepuff :D

IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be? Oh, that’s so hard to decide… hmmm… Matthew Lewis probably, because he is so damn hot! *o*

Have you played any of the video games? Yes, I played the Playstation 1 game to “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. And I have played the Computer Game to “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. I never managed to play them until the end. I liked playing Video Games, but I wasn’t such a big gamer, so I never finished them.

IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play? I think I would be the Keeper. The rest is way too dangerous for me :D See, another Ron Weasley characteristic :D

Were you happy with the ending? Well, I was quite happy with the ending, except for Fred’s Death. Mrs Rowling, how could you? HOW!!!??!??! Tear George apart from his other part??!?! :'( Everyone could have died, EVERYONE! Even Harry! But why did you kill Fred??? I wished you had killed Arthur Weasley in the 5th book, because as you said, you formerly wanted to kill him, but then decided to kill another Weasley… WHY??? :'(
How much does Harry Potter mean to you? t insult the Harry Potter series, or else, I will hate you forever. :’D I like it so much, that I think about a literary tattoo for the future, and I want to possess the series in all the languages I can speak (they are 6, but I will reduce it to the languages I REALLY can speak which are 3), and I will definitely inaugurate my future children into the world of Harry Potter. They better love it, or else, they will get grounded :’D

My Life in Books Tag

I saw this post over at Books For Thought, and decided to do it as well because it is going to be sooo much fun, and quite interesting and creative :) She has found that tag at the youtube channel of jesse the reader, which I also follow and enjoy. He is quite funny, you should check him out :D

Here are my answers:

Pick a book that starts with each of you initials.

The Makioka Sisters by Jun’ichiro Tanizaki. I don’t own that book, but maybe I should read it in the future :)

Count you age starting at the top of your bookshelf. What book is it?

My 22nd book is The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald :) I like that really. Somehow it fits to the age of 22 ;D

Find a book that takes place in your country, state, or city.

Das Mädchen und die Herzogin by Astrid Fritz. It is set in Stuttgart, Germany, so that’s why the book is in german. I also don’t think that there is a translation of that.

Pick a book that represents a destination that you’d love to travel to.

That’s a bit hard, but I think I would pick Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, since I really really want to go to Tokyo, Japan.

Pick your book that has your favourite colour on it.

Although I don’t own this book, and I also didn’t like it that much, it contains both of my favorite colors: Red and Purple.

Which book do you have the fondest memories of.

Harry Potter probably, or most definitely I would say. It has accompanied me through my life and has a significant place in my heart.

Which book did you have the most difficulty reading.

The Lord of the Rings series or rather, the first two books since I could never get myself into reading the third. I really found it difficult to get into that writing style. I was very bored, I unfortunately have to admit. The movie, on the other hand, was a blast!

Which book on your TBR pile will give you the most satisfaction when you read it.

Probably almost every book standing on my shelf and waiting for me to pick it up. However, I think it will be a great accomplishment to read finally read the classics such as The Hound of the Baskervilles, Wuthering Heights, The Idiot, and so on.

Oh, we have come to an end of that Tag. That was really a lot of fun! Maybe I should do more book tags in the future :)

Everyone can feel free to participate. I would be happy if you could leave a comment so that I can check out your answers as well :)

Thanks for reading!

Cute things come from South Korea

Yesterday, I ate lunch with my two friends Yen and Rapha at the Uni cafeteria. It was nice to have lunch with them after my presentation. My friend Rapha then gave me a cute little present she brought for me from South Korea. Here it is :)

It is a hand cream and the package is soooo cute!!!! The two leaves on top of the squirrel can be used as a protection for your smartphone’s earphones plug-in. Such a nice idea from my friend! I was so happy that my friend thought about me :) Thanks to her again, it is so cute!!! This is how it looks like on my phone :)

I had to edit that sticker on the picture, because the color has come off my phone case. It wouldn’t look so good. This way, it looks like the cactus is having a flower on top :’D I need a new phone case immediately. I have found some nice cases on Etsy, even Harry Potter cases. I have to get them as soon as possible :) Or at least on time for the Harry Potter Exhibition Tour in Cologne I am going to in October :D I have gotten the ticket today. WUAAH!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Here you can find dates for the Exhibition tour.

And here is a video about the Tour :O I AM SOOO EXCITED!!! I AM GOING TO CRY!!!!!

You will be sorted by the sorting hat, you can play Quidditch, and there is a surprise with Weasley’s Wizardring Articles!!! *o* I just can’t wait anymore!!!

Okay, enough freaking out for today. But you can look forward for another cute post I was planning since February now :)

Thanks for reading!

Hard to create, easy to destroy

This is a well-known fact. And I just noticed how unfair it is. A few hours ago I almost finished the 1-page response to my workshop,  before the programme hang itself up and everything disappeared. Hopefully, it was only one page, and I still have my notes, but, aaarghhh – This sucks!!!

After I lost the analysis, I was so pissed off that I had to calm down in a bath. I used the bathbomb I had bought on Monday and read “Lolita”. After the bath, I had dinner, then finished the book (review will come soon), and now I am trying it again, while listening to the Harry Potter OST on 8tracks <3 It will keep me calm at least :’D

So, I am off to continue writing. I would rather write about “Lolita” right now, since there are so many thoughts flying around my head that I can hardly concentrate on my response -.- I have to hurry up. I don’t care about anything anymore :P

See you later and thanks for reading ;)
