The next day for this challenge starts with Can-, Can-, and Can-. What a coincidence. This wasn’t planned at all :’D very funny!
Anyway, here are the places I chose for the third letter.
1. Country: Canada
If I had to do this two years ago, Canada wouldn’t even have made it on this list. Now, it is even at the top. How could that even happen?
Well, I would say it’s solely because of all the amazing Canadians I met during my time in China. I have never met so many people from Canada before, that was crazy.
Then, there is the most amazing president our world has today, Justin Trudeau. And if every president or chancellor could be like him, this world would be a better place.
Last but not least, there have been so many amazing rap artists coming from Canada lately, including The Weeknd and Drake of course and many more like Nav, Partynextdoor and Roy Woods.
Anyway, this is not a post about famous people though. It’s about the beauty of Canada, and there are actually quite a lot of canadian cities and places on my list by now.
Toronto is probably the most famous city in Canada, also thanks to all the rappers who emerged from this place. Other than that, Toronto seems like a really cool place, with the Niagara Falls just around the corner.
Vancouver actually looks like a mediterranean New York. Before I met a friend from Vancouver, and finding out one of my friends in Germany did a internship here, I got really interested in the east coast of Canada. Not only the city, but also the surrounding natural sights left in awe after seeing the pictures.
What even is this place? Seeing this picture makes me think that this must be one of the most beautiful places on earth. I would even hike up a mountain to see this (which I probably have to do). I guess British Colombia offers many many more outdoor activities for any traveller.
Montreal is another city I am interested in. It seems to be a futuristic version of France.
Last but not least, the Canadian capitol city Ottawa also has to be mentioned. Actually, it looks like a mixture between Amsterdam and Paris when looking at the picture, so this city can only be beautiful.
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the second largest country in the world. I am sure Canada has ten times more things to offer. Plus, it’s the 150th birthday of Canada this year, so all the entries to sights and parks and lakes are for free for everyone the whole year of 2017. Isn’t that amazing?!? Still, I think I won’t make it to Canada this year. Even if the entrances are all free, I think that Canada is not the cheapest place to travel to.
2. City: Cancun
Cancun is known for its beaches, clear blue sea, and its spring break parties. Of course, you can avoid spring break if you are not into it, but out of all the places to celebrate spring break, I’d rather do it in Cancun. Plus, if you need a break from all the beach days, there is still the possibility to hop on a bus for a sightseeing trip in Mexico.
A little party never killed no party. That’s the motto for this post I guess. But anyone travelling to Mexico, or most of the other Central – and South American cities, has to prepare for a lot of alcohol and parties.
3. UNESCO – World Heritage Site: Canal du Midi
The Canal du Midi connects the french city Toulouse with the Mediterranean sea and today is the first time I have even heard about this place (like 80% of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites). I am glad I found this now, because it looks magical and obviously very underrated since I have seen nothing about this place anywhere. One place more on my travel list now :)
We are at the end of this post now and I hope I could show you some inspiring places that you can put on your trave list as well.
I would like to know about your travel wish destinations starting with C. Please feel free to leave them in the comments.
Thanks for reading and travelling with me.
