Another month has just ended. Can’t believe it! Seems like a few days ago when I wrote about my January Wrap up.
February wasn’t that bad actually. Obviously it was the month of the Grammys and the Oscars, as you can see on my previous posts, but it was also a good month for reading and eating out.
Here is what I did:
I bought quite a lot of Harry Potter stuff. Not only books, …
but also clothes like these socks:
Then, I ordered a concert ticket for Purity Ring. They will be performing in Berlin on the 13th of April. It will be the second time in Berlin for me, but when I had been there the first time about 7 years ago, it was a class trip and we weren’t allowed to do a lot of things there, like partying. I have seen most of the cultural and historical things, but I want to explore more cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs the next time. I will also be meeting some friends hopefully. Can’t wait.
And at the end of the month now, on the 28th I even got to buy new trouser leggings (Not jeggings actually). They look amazing, and I will wear them soon. If I do, I will post a picture on my instagram account. I also bought new jewellery, in form of rings and lightning bolt earrings a la Harry Potter ;)
I ate out a lot last month. One of the reasons was my sister’s birthday on the 16th. It was a monday, but we went to Vapiano with my mum and my brother as well. At the weekend then, my sister celebrated with friends. Then, we went to a healthy Burger restaurant.
The beginning of February also marked the end of exams. I don’t know if I told you that I learned japanese this passed semester, but I completed the first language course, and it was amazing! I had a strange feeling after the exam, but everything went well. Too well in the end. I got a 1.3 at the exam and for the course itself, I got 1,0 (Which is the best grade you can get in Germany).
So, on the day of the exam, me and two other friends from the japanese course went to a running sushi near our university town. It was delicious.
What I watched:
Since February was the month of the Oscars, I also watched a few movies.
Birdman: Here is the review
Maleficient: I still have to review it! But it was wonderful!!! I can’t wait for all the other Disney movie adaptions to be released this and next year.
Annabelle: This movie was so bad, that I am not going to review it. It is not worth it. I don’t like watching horror movies anyway, because I think that it is not fun to be scared, and anyway, the movie wasn’t scary at all, but only boring (although I had the creeps in the elevator scene oh gosh). I also was forced to watch it, because we made a movie night with some friends, and they all wanted to see it.
Guardians of the Galaxy: A huge disappointment. That movie was not good, but I will probably review it soon.
Naruto Shippuuden: This is an anime series I have neglected the past few years. I began watching this series when I was still at school, but when I began studying at university, I forgot about this anime. I watched a lot of episodes last month up until the most recent one. I will also write an only Naruto post soon.
What I read:
First of all, I re-read the first two books in the Harry Potter series for my Bachelor thesis I will be writing soon.
Then I read some secondary books for that thesis as well.
“The Wisdom of Harry Potter: What Our Favorite Hero Teaches Us About Moral Choices” by Edmund M. Kern
“Fact, Fiction and Folklore in Harry Potter’s World: An Unofficial Guid” by George Beahm
“Mapping the World of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice: An Unauthorized Exploration of the Harry Potter Series” by Mercedes Lackey
And I have 9 Naruto Comics. I know, that sounds a lot, but honestly, You can read one comic in less than an hour. So I only spent about one day reading them.
Naruto Vol. 64: Ten-Tails
Naruto Vol. 65: Hashirama and Madara
Naruto Vol. 66: The New Three
Naruto Vol. 67: Breakthrough
Naruto Vol 68: A Shinobi’s Dream
Naruto Vol. 69: The Beginning of the Crimson Spring
Naruto Vol. 70: Naruto and the Sage of Six Paths
Naruto Vol. 71: I Love You Guys
Naruto Vol. 72: Uzumaki Naruto!!
The mangaka of course is Masashi Kishimoto. Although the course of the war in the last chapters and series of the manga were a bit long, the end turned out to be perfect. It is as I had imagined it to be. I will be doing an only Naruto blog post soon, there I can ramble about the series and tell you what I liked and disliked.
I guess this was my February Wrap-Up. I know that I have been quite absent last month, but as you can see I was very busy :D I will be even busier in March, so please don’t blame me if I don’t have enough time for blogging. I really have to be fast and start the serious reading for my bachelor thesis. Or else, I will be in trouble.
How was your month?
Thanks for reading!
