Storyline and Plot:

The plot was perfect. Seriously. I love movies with such a dense plot in which many things at once happen. The cinematography of the movie somehow reminded me of Charlie Chaplin. That playful succession of actions. Just genius! It is a movie that could be watched by both child and adult. I loved everything going on in this movie. There was no part I didn’t like or that was boring.

PERFECT! Each and everyone of them. Even the ones who only had a short appearance like Bill Murray. I loved Tilda Swinton’s part as well. She acted perfectly. Adrien Brody as a villain was hilarious :’D Seriously, this movie was extremely entertaining. Even the bad guys. I laughed hard about the fingers :’D Willem Dafoe’s character was interesting as well. I liked that. And Edward Norton, as always, never disappoints me. He was hilarious as well. Saoirse Ronan and Tony Revolori were so cute. I think this was Ronan’s best role this far. Everyone was interacting so nicely. Anderson chose the right actors for this movie. Without exactly those, it wouldn’t have been the same movie.

Costumes and Setting:

Just a tiny category, but I loved the costumes and all the colors in the movie. The hotel looked like a dream. And the costumes were a masterpiece. Whoever has done it, did a great job.

Final rating – 5/5: A movie for people who at the same time enjoy good cinema with a hint of entertainment.

  1. True.. At no point of the movie, did I feel any hint of boredom, keeping me engrossed all through..
The story was like an old time action movie, but without any real action.. and a perfect mix of humour :)
