I have just recently caught up this challenge and wondered what it all was about. Here and here I have finally figured out :D This comes quite good at the moment, since I really should read a little bit more, especially for my university seminar. And here is what it is all about:
The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 12th and runs through Sunday, May 18th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 10 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
The books I have to read for my seminar are actually very good and I really like reading them. They are also not so thick, only approximately 200 pages each. However, the problem is that I don’t have these books as a book, but as a PDF data, because the Orient Publisher in India won’t send any copies to Europe, so my prof had to scan in the pages of his books in order for us to read them. It is no problem reading pdf files, since I have a tablet, but nothing feels better than a real book in your hands :)
Still, I want to read two books this week if I can somehow manage it. I have uni from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays I have to work. I hope I can still manage to finish two books for my course, or at least one. Here is the plan:
Time Devoted to Reading
At least finish two books, ideally two for my seminar
Books to Read
– The Strange Case of Billy Biswas by Arun Joshi: This I definitely have to finish until thursday
– The Apprentice by Arun Joshi: Maybe I won’t be able to finish it, but I definitely want to begin it.
So, I hope for the best. It is only a short goal, but I hope I will do fine :)
I will try to post an update every day :)
Thanks for reading!
